Treasures of India

10 Days

Experience the treasures of India in a 10 days tour.

Places to be Covered
Delhi, Agra, Jaipur, Udaipur

  • TOUR DETAILS
    • DAY 1

There can be nothing as magnificent as starting your Indian tour by arriving in the capital city of New Delhi, where there is always a royal wave amidst the common hubbub. In a fashion similar to the elaborate elephant parades of the Mughals, our managers will be there to welcome you at the Indira Gandhi International Airport in a luxury vehicle specially chosen to create a novel ambience as soon as you enter India. You will be welcomed with warm hearts, a sweet Indian treat and of course- all the essential information related to your upcoming tour!

    • DAY 2

It is finally time to get going- you now have an opportunity to explore India! After breakfast, you will get to see the ancient and historical faces of an otherwise modern city- starting from the magnificent Humayun’s Tomb- the architecture of which formed the model for the Taj Mahal and the centuries-old markets of Chandni Chowk- where India will travel back in time to give you an authentic ancient experience! Literally translating to a ‘moon-lit’ square, you can still hear the tittle-tattle and smell the sweet scents of Mughal begums on the streets of Chandni Chowk today! With your cameras overloaded already- you will be taken back to the hotel to savour your choice of Indian Food while your evening will be energised by the light and sound show at the Red Fort- a spectacle of an Indian’s pride and patriotism.

    • DAY 3

The next morning will revolve around the evergreen icons of Delhi. The ‘Rajpath’ or the ‘Royal Road’ will lead you to the Rashtrapati Bhavan- the residence of the President of India. This masterpiece of British architecture with 340 rooms and 190 acres of garden area will not only remind you of the old colonial days but also help you realise how India has beautifully embraced its colonial legacy. You will then proceed to India Gate - a centrepiece of the capital city. A twin of the Triumphal Arch in France- this gate is ideal for the cover page of your photo album titled ‘Trip to India’. As the day ends, the sunset skies will be adorned by the tallest minaret of the world as you head towards your last stop- The Qutub Minar, the prototype of all minarets ever built in India and the highest single tower of the country. Built in 1193- it’s height of a whopping 73m is truly commendable for an era where anything more than 25m seemed unbelievably tall!

    • DAY 4

You are now set to explore the second hotspot of Northern India and Mughal History- Agra. Your morning will start with a road-trip on the Yamuna Expressway- a route along the west banks of the river Yamuna which later flows on to form a picturesque backdrop for the Taj Mahal. As you slide into Agra and check into the Oberoi Amarvillas, be prepared to get the first glimpse of the white wonder from the balcony of your room! This scenic spot in your very own room certainly calls for a cup of ‘karak’ chai which you can share with the Taj while you freshen up for the rest of your day! Later, your evening with the Taj will end with the 90 minute ‘Mohabbat-e-Taj’ show dedicated to the tales of love and romance behind the awe-inspiring creation. Treasure the wonder at your own pace, an effort which once took about 20,000 artisans and 1000 elephants standing right in front of your eyes!

    • DAY 5

You will now be given a chance to cherish India’s greatest intangible treasure- the art of Yoga. The hour long yoga session at the Mehtab Garden right next to the Taj complex will not only help you relax and rejuvenate but will also give you another chance to glare at the Taj- a source of eternal inspiration. Then, step into a warrior’s shoe as you freshen up and head to the Agra Fort after breakfast- a site which will awe you with its long walls, defence mechanisms and beautiful palaces. As the sun sets and the mosques of old Agra cry the evening prayers, find peace at the Tomb of I’timad-ud-Daulah, yet another white mausoleum often regarded as the ‘Baby Taj’. The smaller size and lesser crowd will give you an opportunity to sit back and meditate in the lap of history as you end your trip in Agra.

    • DAY 6

After saying goodbye to the Mughal World post breakfast, it is now time to knock the durbars of Rajputana, the land of pristine Indian Royalties. While you travel to Jaipur- the capital of Rajasthan, you will have the perfect opportunity to recollect your memories and experiences in northern India and talk or write about them and perhaps go through a fact-book which you may have bought from souvenir shop. Upon reaching Jaipur, the heritage property of your five star hotel- The Raj Palace, will give you a slight idea of the marvels you are going to see while roaming about a land where rituals and royalties surpass all odds! As you see the cities clustered in and around its pink walls and gates, take pride in the fact that you will be touring the first ever planned city of India with Vedic principles of Vastu Shashtra incorporated to guarantee the comfort and prosperity of its citizens and of course- travellers like you!

    • DAY 7

It is fort day today and we will celebrate it with full zeal as we visit two of Jaipur’s well-known forts- The Amber and the Nahargahr Fort! Just like the Islamic Calligraphy on Mughal Monuments, these Rajput Forts will be full of paintings of Gods and Goddesses as well as symmetrical floral designs. Inlay and stone work will be commonplace once you visit these forts as every room, court hall or yard will be decorated to infinite perfection! In the evening, once you check off the ‘Hill Forts of Rajasthan’ from your UNESCO World Heritage bucket list, you can end your day with fine heritage dining- where everything from the cutlery to the fragrance will be of the Maharajah Level!

    • DAY 8

Since we are done with the hills of Jaipur, it is now time to explore the city within- painted pink to welcome the Prince of Wales. Start from the City Palace- a confluence of traditional and modern architecture and also the residence of the erstwhile royal family! Next up, the Jal Mahal will seem like the perfect getaway given its location on an isolated piece of land in the middle of a lake! Not just that, the Hawa Mahal and its 953 windows, all made in a way that the queens residing within can witness royal parades without showing their faces to other men and the traditional astronomy instruments of Jantar Mantar are proofs that the Rajputs had the brain and the wit on top of the courage to rule their kingdoms! To expedite your journey in this land of palaces, board a plush coach to Udaipur after dinner for an overnight journey!

    • DAY 9

Welcome to the city of lakes- where the waters of mother-nature take pride in reflecting the walls of victorious history. Start with the City Palace and the Monsoon Palace- Udaipur’s fancy exhibits for the world to see. Click images with the royal gates surrounding these properties to your heart’s content before you head to Fateh Sagar Lake for a lovely evening talk and traditional photo session. The city’s lake waters have countless tales of courage and sacrifice hidden in their depths- one passionate glance and you will know it all!

    • DAY 10

With millions of memories and images in your mind and an undying desire to make more- prepare to head back home as you board your flight to Delhi where the Oberoi Gurgaon will serve as your final stop before you make the long leap to your home country. Make sure you promise India to visit her once again, with the same amount of enthusiasm and an unparalleled excitement!
